A visit to Madame Tussaud's celebrated wax model museum
could be described as blatant people watching. The
experience is expensive, but where else can you peer up the
nose of a world leader or make faces at the rich and famous?
just about everyone is here: royalty, presidents, politicians,
celebrities, stars, heroes and villains.
Exhibits such as The Garden Party and The Grand Hall cast
new light on the phrase "rubbing shoulders with the rich and
famous." The Chamber of Horrors has hideous charm,
although perhaps not for the very young; the murderous are
still menacing, even in effigy, and you'll watch them uneasily
out of the corner of your eye. Other attractions include a quick
trip through London history as glimpsed from a miniature city
taxicab. The adjacent Planetarium provides a relaxing
half-hour’s mocked up stargazing and several space exhibits.
